Sultana, previously known as Denali, is a bold American dual-purpose hop developed by Hopsteiner. Bred from Nugget, Zeus, and USDA 19058m, it boasts exceptionally high total oil content, delivering intense aromas of pineapple, citrus, and pine. Its versatility makes it ideal for IPAs, Pale Ales, and other hop-forward styles.
Released commercially in 2016 as Denali and rebranded to Sultana in 2019, this variety has quickly gained popularity among brewers for its robust flavor profile and high alpha acid content. Its large, dense cones and vigorous growth make it a standout in the field and the brewhouse.
