El Dorado is a dual-purpose hop developed by CLS Farms in Moxee, Washington, and released in 2010. Known for its high alpha acid content and unique tropical fruit flavors, El Dorado imparts a firm yet balanced bitterness when used for bittering, and bright notes of pear, watermelon, and stone fruit when used in late additions.
El Dorado was bred to meet the demands of the American craft beer movement, offering bold flavors that rival many southern hemisphere hops. Its clean, floral, and fruity profile makes it a versatile choice for a variety of beer styles, adding exceptional freshness without any dank character.
