Background
Simcoe was bred by Yakima Chief Ranches and released in 2000 as a hop that could provide both bittering efficiency and expressive aroma. As a Cryo Hops® variety processed using Yakima Chief’s LupuLN2® method, Simcoe’s intense lupulin content offers brewers a concentrated, clean hop expression—perfect for pushing fruit-forward and resinous character in hop-driven styles.
